1.) Work on yourself every day!
Develop a habit of self- care and growth.
We may have a long history of thinking about everyone else BUT us...but IF you want to be an entrepreneur you need to build yourself up - inside and out.
Start with your mindset. Be positive, kind and real with yourself. And find the balance - all work is NO fun! So take time for relaxing, hobbies, family and friends.
2.) Refuse to build a business you aren’t passionate about.
If you are trying to build a business because you think it’s the “right thing to do” or it’s “on trend” or it looks “easy” but you secretly hate it?
Passion is an absolute ingredient for a success recipe.
Having passion will make it harder to quit - in fact you will refuse to.
3.) Goals : Have Them - Set Them
Instead of flitting about and hoping this business takes off or your social media goes viral - maybe try some goals.
Clear goals give us the direction we can need to create a good strategy.
List your big goals - then break them down into smaller steps - then follow through!
4.) Know Your WHY
Why are you even reading this? Because you have a why. You have a reason for building, starting, growing a business.
Know it. Write it down. Paste it everywhere.
Everyone has a different why. For some it’s their family, for others it’s something else.
But there is one thing that all why’s have in common : they motivate you to do and achieve more!
Think of your WHY all the time. Especially when you are struggling and having a hard time with your business.
5.) Progress NOT Perfection
Don’t get paralyzed by perfection.
Instead - Get things done. Finish. Be Good Enough.
There is always going to be something you want to change, but if you keep changing things and never get it out there NO one will see it.
6.) Lead the Way
Lead the way for other women. Empower others to shine as bright as you do. This is a no brainer.
7.)Don’t stop Believin’
If you don’t believe you won’t achieve.
Belief gives you the strength to keep going.
8.) Take those leaps of faith
Take a risk. If you don’t try, you won’t see any great results and you will stay stuck.
Staying in your comfort zone is nothing but comfortable. And that can be great on a rainy day...but I am guessing you want more than comfortable.
Part of success is taking risks, putting yourself out there and being OK with the results! Good or bad - because you won’t know until you TRY!
9.) But what if you fly...?
You can’t be afraid to fail. Most of my success has been built upon the lessons I learned with I failed. You pick yourself up and you try again.
Also, don’t be afraid to fly - you deserve it! Some women get so stuck in the mantra - but it won’t work, they won’t buy it, I am not really good at this...blah blah...stop that! FLY!
10.) Get Your Sh*t Together
I’ll own it...my desk and planner can be a hot, hot mess. But when I clear the clutter, organize my calendar, workspace, files etc...things get SO much better.
Find a SYSTEM that works for you!
Grab that journal and be thankful. This is so important. Make a daily list of the things...the little things and big ones too!
When you are having a total meltdown or a pity party you can go back and look at all the things that you have.
Pull yourself out of a funk and be grateful you did that too!
12.) Your clients/customers are #1
Your best calling card is your current clients/customers
Without them, you have no business so LOVE them good
Show your appreciation.
Make them devoted ambassadors of your business
Every day you meet people… ok mostly every day. When you do you are building relationships and networking. Make each person feel valued. Let them learn about you and develop that trust.
When you connect with people on a deeper level, they will help you build your business. Because - if you create trust, they recommend you to more people.
14.) Channel your inner Beyoncé
A successful woman entrepreneur will hold her head high, know her worth and people will see that in her walk, her talk and her confidence. You have to be confident in yourself and your product/service or no one will buy from you!
15.) Be a Giver
Giving to your community, audience, colleagues. You need to be a part of a movement greater than yourself. Not only is it the right thing to do - it builds your network and relationships.
16.) Charge your worth
Every single woman I have ever coached has struggled with this.
“No one will buy it at that price...maybe my prices are too high…”
“The lower I price the more I can sell…”
“She said it was too expensive so NO ONE will want it either”
You have to see the value in what you offer and your marketing needs to communicate that. You paid for your schooling, workshops, training, skill mastery - whatever investment you put into your SELF to become a BOSS...is WORTH SOMETHING...the people you serve DID not do your training, skill getting...etc...but they Have YOU!
You have to show them that by using your product or service their LIFE GETS BETTER! AND THEY WILL TRADE MONEY FOR THAT!!!
I love working with women who are invested in their growth - both personal and business.
